The Cruiser series ignition distributor is basically as sound as our Pro series except the aluminum case is unpolished and the coil puts out only about 30,000 volts.(which is about double what your standard coil produces!) Our coils are totally enclosed inside the distributor cap which eliminates corroded connections, spark jumping from the coil tower to the primary posts (common with other brands) and external wires and terminals that are subjected to the harsh marine environment. We have kits available to allow these to work with an OMC Cobra outdrive too! (ask about this)
