We start with the very best marine distributor available for the 460, Pertronix. This CNC machined billet aluminum distributor is highly polished to start with. The shaft is supported by ball bearings rather than bushings like the rest for longest possible life and perfect spark distribution. Next we add the AAA MARINE 60,000 volt red coil, designed specifically for this purpose. Next we add custom spark plug wires to contain this powerful coil, and they are red of course to match the coil and distributor cap. The two resistors and two diodes must be soldered in place on the wires leading to your present ESA switch, which is right on top of the engine and easily done. This "tricks" it into thinking you still have points, so your shifting remains the same. We've done thousands of these since 1996 with absolutely no problems.
